About Us

For more than 25 years, Jim Kaiser conducted research as a federal wildlife biologist (USFWS / USGS-BRD) and private consultant primarily involving nesting osprey and wintering bald eagle populations in the Pacific Northwest. 

Jim has considerable experience conducting wildlife toxicology investigations and providing assistance to electric utility companies seeking to identify and solve raptor-caused outages and raptor electrocutions. Jim is an expert on osprey nesting behavior and nest management issues. He recently co-authored the chapter: "Perching, Roosting and Nesting of Birds on Power Line Structures" in the book
Suggested Practices for Avian Protection on Power Lines: State of the Art in 2006. He has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications. 

Jim has a professional network of Federal and State biologists, raptor research scientists and conservation leaders involved in the protecting, studying and managing raptors. He founded Osprey Solutions, LLC in February 2011 to continue serving a growing and diverse clientele throughout the United States and Canada.
